Which came first ?The chicken or the egg? Probably neither. Why pray and worry or worry and pray? Since it's a personal event ans feeling, people just try to cover all their bases.

You don't understand prayer, prayer is not only because you are worried about something, although it is true that when people suffer this is when you see them return to prayer and remember their Maker, but prayers are conversation you have daily with your Savior, don't you ever say oh thank you Jesus for all that we have, thank you God this was such a nice day! Even Thank God! is a prayer in a sense.

It is ok to pray for someone who is ill, or has to deal with a problem or is afraid for their sons and daughters and so on. Peace

Great question.

For those god-believers who believe in prayer it doesn't make sense to worry, unless deep down in their heart of hearts they have this spark of doubt that their prayer may not be answered or that their god may not exist.

True...but we are imperfect humans and worry comes with that. But, you are right...that would be the goal.
