im getting a kitten soon a gorgeous black and white male one and im after some sensible names please as i havnt a clue what to call it and i have tried alot of naming sites and books

I have three different cats, and I like to give them all interesting names, rather than just Socks or Kitty. I have a HUGE black male cat, and his name is Coffey (after John Coffey, the gentle giant on The Green Mile). My orange female is named Clorox (because she used to poop on the floor and we went through LOTS of Clorox clean-up wipes while litterbox training her). My calico is named Sofia (after Sofia on the Golden Girls, because she is the smart one). My mom's longhair toroiseshalle female that I named is Cleo (she is very regal and prissy acting, like a queen, plus Egyptians worshipped cats...and Cleopatra is just too long, lol).

I've seen some people on here telling you the cat won't answer to his name...he might. Coffey, Sofia, and Cleo all do. Clorox doesn't because she isn't very smart. Also I read that having an "eee" sound in the name helps pets recognize it better. Don''t know if it's true but it workd for my cats! Just spend some time with your kitten and name him something that fits his personality!

My cats are Noelle and Oliver. Noelle because I adopted her a week before Christmas. Oliver for a few reasons - I wanted a Harry Potter character name and for Oliver Twist, as my kitty was an orphan as well. I almost adopted a girl cat before I got Oliver, and her name would have been Isis after the Egyptian goddess.

I like to use symbolism and meaning behind my animal's names, but some people prefer to just pick a name they like regardless.

I have two female cats. Baby is the eldest, she is named after the fact that we got her as a baby. My other cat is Emerald or Emmy for short because of her green eyes. I had a black and white male cat, named Anthony or Tony because I have a love for Italy and Italian type names. I decide my cats names based on their personality or looks, it may help. My next male cat will be named Oscar because I have an Emmy and won my Tony, rip.

Usually, that is too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy and his face though. Certain guys can pull off long hair and other people can't.

My cat's name is Dr. Chase Xavier Mills D.D.S. Seriously..but we usually just call him Chase or "the good Doctor". Other names I like are Murphy and Kirby. Maybe watch him for a day or 2 and something will just come to you by how he behaves.

He definetly isnt named after the film, i just thought he suited it for some reason.
