Translation so you have it pure again?

Ok I'll tell you why I am doing this.. I find the LDS church to be cultic in it's views of God and His word. What worse is that the teaching diminish the Work of God of our behalf. In so doing the teach a false Christ and a false Gospel. Those people that except those teaching are putting their Immortal Spirits in danger.. The LDS people are some of the finest people in the world. Giving, caring and loving. I don't believe they are doing it just out of a requirement of their church, I really believe they want to be in God;s service. I care about then just as much and want to see them receive salvation. If I can point out some facts that might get ypu to question I know the Holy Ghost will come into you and make you a child of God. You can hate me all you want for that but I will still love your enough to do what I can to meet you in glory at the feet of Jesus Christ..

Isn't this what your church teaches bout me?
I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”

You believe this? Then you say that I am CORRUPT, that my heart is far from God? What I believe are the commandments of men. and I deny the power of God? You believe me to be a monster. I guess the attacks you make against me, my faith and my Lord are ok. But if I hold up a mirror so you can see what you are believing is incorrect I am the evil attacker.. Please don't be a hipocrete... Jim

I'm going to pretend for just a second that you are not trolling and that you are honestly asking...

The thing about the Bible is that it was written by scribes...multiple scribes. And then they got together and did a group-editing session, leaving out this, omitting that...things which they felt were extraneous.

And then it was translated from Hebrew into Latin...and Hebrew and Latin don't translate easily into each other. And then into English, again which has changed and changed over the years. Finally, King James comissioned a translation of the Bible and it is sort of a political translation. This is the version of the Bible which we use. And after it was translated and retranslated over the years, some of the words, meanings and intentions have been lost/omitted/changed.

Joseph Smith was able to restore some of the beautiful truths and passages which had been lost through the ages.

Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He has done more for the salvation of mankind than any other man, save it were Jesus Christ. We are blessed that the Voice of Heaven is once again heard upon the earth. Gordon B Hinckley is a prophet of God. I know this to be true. The Bible is the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is also the word of God.

It is finished. It was finished by Joseph Smith before he died. You can buy copies of it. And the most important changes are in the KJV Bible that our church prints as footnotes.

Yes, Fotomama, he is a troll. I more answer this for others that might read the question and be curious as to the answer.

It's not "contaminated".

Joseph Smith didn't do his translation, IMHO, to "purify" the Bible, but to ask God about all those things that needed to be asked about.
