For my girls, whenever we see a really cute dress that only lacks sleeves, we buy a little plain tee that is a size too small. Then the girls wear it under the dress. This way, the shirt doesn't interfere with the lay of the fabric of the dress, but still gives the girls sleeves.

As for those that are asking about why Mormons do not wear sleeveless. We do not wear anything that will reveal our special garments that we recieve in the temple. That means we must wear sleeves and shorts/skirts that go to our knees. We encourage our youth that have not yet been through the temple to dress the same way to prepare for the day they do go through.

Find a top that's mainly just sleeves. I can't remember what they're called...they're the tops that basically just cover your arms, and they don't button or anything. Or you could just find a cute, matching button-up top to go over it. Also, depending on how the dress looks and if it would go with it or not, you could try wearing a poncho with it to make it a fun dress. There are so many different things you can do with a sleeveless dress to make it modest, while still looking cute. Experiment with it, and the best part is that if you change up what you wear with it, it will seem like you're wearing a completely different outfit everytime you wear the dress. Change up the shoes you wear with it too. Have some fun with it.

Why? I don't know much about Mormonism, but is your relationship with God really so unstable that you can't wear a sleeveless dress? If that's the case, why do you have it? I'm not trying to be offensive (though I realize that I probably have been), but I'm truly curious. Do you really think God's concerned with what kind of dress you wear? Esp. if the only thing to be said to be immodest about it is that it has no sleeves?

I found a really great almost-sleeveless dress at a thrift store, and upon further searching, I found a really great satin matching blouse to wear over it. It even impressed my fifteen year old daughter!!

You should find a shrug, or a jacket to go over it. Or, you could wear a shirt under the dress.

Simple, put a shaw over your shoulders, wear a blouse under the dress, or put on a sweater.

Especially since you seem to like to cross dress, Phil.

Wear a shawl, shrug or jacket over the top. Or, you can find a pattern at a material store and make your own. My daughter had to do this a lot. She had fun making her own.

Go to kohls and they have shortsleeve and quarte sleeve shrugs in assorted colors. I believe they are reasonably priced and they are in the junior department.

You could try a nice, feminine jacket, or if that doesn't work, try a burka. Muslim women swear by theirs. Goes with everything.
