Dating a guy who's a grade ahead of you is not too far fetched. Does he have any guy friends in your grade? if so, try hanging out with them and you might become friends with this older guy too. Just be confindent (even if you have to fake it!!) Guys love a girl with self esteem and he'll see that and want to talk to you.

I had the exact same thing happen to me.
It was even worse in my case, because whenever someone I liked tried to approach me, I would act disintrested...just in case they didn't REALLY like me
If you do the same thing I do...then don't...the next time he looks at you, look back, smile even, as hard as it may be
If you're brave enough, get a friend of yours to tell him, or better yet, try and organise a situation where you and the guy would 'meet' officially.
This is where you enlist the help of your friends. If your friends parents knows his friends parents, then perhaps it could be arranged.

I think you need to confront him one day and simply ask him if he likes you or not. It is better to get the question over with then just waiting for him to come out and tell you. The worst thing he can say is no. But if he does say no then don't be discouraged just find someone else. Boys always say girls are hot because they just want to get inside your pants. I know that may sound bad but it is true.

I know how hard it is when you are a quiet girl, but you need to send him some kind of signal that you like him. First start out by smiling at him when he looks at you and say hi to him when you get a chance.

well if you know him then start up conversations with him everyonce in a while or try and get alone with himand flirt or just tell him you like him.If you DONT know him then try and become friends with his "crowd" and eventually u will get to talk to him.and if hes always looking at you odds are h wont try and avoid you.
