Yesterday, one of the colored bands on my braces came off. I am getting them off in 4 weeks, and I would hate to have to leave them on because I didn't call my orthodonist and ask what to do.
What do YOU guys think I should do?

Hello,
Sounds like one of the elastics that hold the arch wire onto your brackets has come off. It is not a huge problem--only being one elastic it should not cause too much movement of the tooth it should attach to the wire.
Just go to the Orthodontist, it can be replaced in a matter of seconds. This should not delay the time set to have the bands and brackets removed as long as the you have the problem taken care of soon.
Call them tomorrow! Congratulations on finishing your treatment--removal of braces is always exciting!

I had braces for 18 months and one of my colored bands came off also. I called the orthodontist and he said it was no big deal just come in and have one put back on. So I am glad to say, it won't keep you from getting them off.

Bands, no matter what the color should not come off. Call your orthodonist.

call the orthodontist and tell them. the bands are there for a reason.
