p.s. You should ask "How" men are like high heels, not "Why" they are. "How" indicates a manner in which they may be similar; "Why" simply asks for a reason for them being similar. You're not asking for the reason or reasons that men are like high heels, are you? I think that the point of your joke was to indicate that you feel that men are similar to high heels, and the punchline to your joke was intended to explain the basis for the comparison. But that's just my $0.02 :)
