I just wanted to yell you your question brought a smile to my face this morning! I remember the first Thanksgiving dinner that I did not have to sit at the "kids" table.... I remember thinking my parents might actually like me better! *smile*

Hi Hauntedfox, I come from a family of 8 kids. And the day I got to sit at the grown-ups table was just after the one ahead of me moved out. That's when I finally got the room to myself. I am the 5th child counting downward, but the fourth one if you are counting upwards. I'm a middle child. In fact my mom use to say "she had 7 billy goats and one lamb" Yes I'm the lamb, who got run over by all those billy goats.
What the deal? well I always had someone to play with, or fight with depending on what age we were. And I'm still so very close to all my brothers and sisters. They are the only ones that go with through your live with you.You can pick your friends but family you are stuck with.

Yeah I remember when I got to sit with everyone else instead of on the floor or at smaller table with the other younger kids. They even asked me to say the prayer...I was so nervous and excited. That was a big day for me...

All 7 of us kids sat round for as long as I can remember. Obviously the babies sat in their high-chairs until the age of about 2. No big deal, just natural.

there were five of us kids and we all sat at the dinner table- exception- when there was company. There was a pull out bread drawer that my oldest bro. could sit - I always wanted to do that- until I actually did it. Back to the table for me.

When my parents had company over for Thanksgiving or Christmas, us kids would be at the little table until we were about 10 or so.
Regular meals, we were all at the table.

OMG!!! Yeah! I always had to sit at the kid table with my nieces and nephews!!! LOL I don't think I ever graduated from the kid table, until I got a place of my own. Now when I host the parties here, my nieces and nephews have to sit at the kid table with my kids!.
