Biggest myth out there: Macs are safer than PC's. Not true. The issue is that PC's are "Targeted" more than Macs...but there still malware out there with an apple on the bullseye target.

No viruses on Macs. In the 1980s they had heaps of viruses, but when windows came out most people stopped writing Mac Viruses. Why, the people who write viruses wouldn't wait their time using a Mac in the first place.

User friendly. I used to use both a Mac and Windows together for many years. In the old days the Mac beat DOS and Windows 3.x hands down. But since Windows 95 came out, they are roughly equivalent, with Windows being a little more complicated, but generally easier to use once you learn to use it properly.

Easy to configure. Actually it would take you a few hours to learn how to configure a Mac. But if you had problems, you are stuffed. You had to buy special programs just to change certain configuration problems. This has been fixed in Max OS x.

Better for graphics. This used to be the case because most graphics, Desktop publshing and video programs were written first for the Mac and then converted to work in Windows. Some the Mac version should work better. From about 2000 onwards most companies had started making the Windows version first. So now the Windows version should be better. The exception is Quark Xpress, which is being pushed out by Adobe InDesign.

In short, the Mac was great in its time, a great and amazing product. I have used PCs, Windows, DOS, Unix and Mac together for many years, so I have a lot of experience of all and feel the Mac has no great advantages over Windows.
