I'm not sure what you are asking but try the Microsoft office office training site which has several user guides

No disrespect to others who answered, but I think you can do this (sort of) using a drop down validation. For people using the sheet, multiple values "appear" to be in one cell. The user can choose one and then that value will display. Subsequently, you can have other cells use the value to perform calculations and lookups, etc.

So maybe it was just the way you worded your question that has others confounded? It is true that you can assign only one value or one formula to single cell, but validation gives an appearance otherwise. That is why i want you to read another answer I posted. Click here:

Sometimes when posting questions, people don't always explain what they want in terms that everyone understands. Yet I read your question and context with a different attitude that makes me believe a drop down validation listing will solve your problem.

Hope this helps!

The first answer had me wasting 10 minutes reading parts of a guide-book to Excel. I'm convinced the answer is 'no' as each cell accepts a unique entry. I suggest you use an adjacent cell for the second entry.

Never heard of it being capable of this.
What would be the purpose? Just use another cell for a different value. Formulas in another cell can refer to one, and/or the other. "If statements" can often be used in this case.

Wrong section, but fortunately I know the answer ...
no, that is not possible. Cells with assigned numeric values can only have unique values.

I think so. If you ask in the help, it should explain it. You need to separate the equations with a character, and I can't remember what it is, sorry!
