Thanks for answers guys and gals... they pretty much confirmed what I'd thought.

I was asking 'cause I started a course of antibiotics (for a urinary infection) on Tuesday, and now 6 days in to the course I've developed a major case of flatulence and have a kind of liquid discharge coming out my backside whwn I go to the loo - it's not diarriah (sp?) since I've had a normal poo during this timw, so I'm guessing the gas and discharge are the bacteria coming out of my system.

It goes through the kidneys and the liver. sometimes it can kill the beneficial bacteria in the stomach causing a yeast infection. take probiotic supplements when prescribed with antibiotics and don't eat anything sweet with antibiotics.

What's left of them by the process of the immune system destroying them or by the antibiotics taken is excreted by the kidneys in urine and via the bowel.
Sometimes, if in the skin, it is disposed of by pus coming out through the skin.

Most antibidies digest the bacteria and dispose of them in the liver and kidneys. The antibodies then die which forms puss. Puss is just dead antibodies, it is a ood sign that a wond a cut is healing.

You basically just pee it out. b/c if you think about it your body doesn't want dead bacteria stuck in your body. First it goes through your kidneys b/c that's like the filter in your body and then you pee out all of the bad stuff that was in your kidney. That's why sometimes your pee is yellow that means there was a lot of nasty stuff in your kidneys.
