i mean i didn't mind paying for my girlfriend when we went out to eat cause i felt weird if she paid but as far as always supporting her isn't a good idea because some girls tend to become comfortable and always expect to be paided for. now, if she's going through some financial issues there's nothing wrong with helping her out but if you see that she's not making an effort to get back on her feet.. the money that your providing should come to a STOP.

Girlfriend you say? Nope, I won't pay for my girlfriend constantly. I'll only give money to her when I ask her out or when she's having financial problems. To support her and she's your girlfriend. That is too holy if you ask me. You're a nice guy.
When I pay for my woman, I'll feel happy about it if she appreciates my effort. I feel like all of my responsibilities have not been a burden on my shoulders. If she ask me out, then that's a different stories. Doesn't mean she has to pay for me, but she have to pay for herself.
A couple of advice I can give. If she doesn't appreciate what you did AND doesn't return it in some way or another, then she's most likely to be a taker. That is a BIG no-no in a relationship. 50-50 counts. You have to remember that my friend.

I wouldn't give her money weekly or monthly or whatever. I would pay if we went out and I don't mind.
The reason I wouldn't give her money all the time because its not my job....she should have income of her own, don't get me wrong if she asked me for a loan of some money or wanted some clothes and I could afford it, I would buy her them. But I wouldn't do this on a regular occasion.
I would pay when we go out because....I don't know....I just don't like the idea of girls paying for me.

From a woman's perspective: If a man ever offered to pay for my meals, cover my bills, and give me a weekly/monthly lump sum of money . . . I'd kick his a-ss clear into Micronesia. Women don't need men to support them.

You better support your Girlfriend. Men who are in relationships need to always take care of there girlfriends. When a man does not take care of his girl then she might feel he is greedy or doesn't love her enough.

im a girl. and my boyfiend gave me money not every month or every week but everytime he feels i need it. whenever i dont want to receive it he gets angry at me and says he was insulted. so i have no choice and he always pays everytime we go out.
for me, it gives me a feeling of comfort and security not being a gold-digger or so so "lucky girl" for he spent alot because of me but it makes me feel im with a REAL MAN.
