You are DEFINATLY NOT FAT! i was the weight as you are and the same age just a year ago but i am 2 inches shorter. My doctor told me i was right in the middle of average! If you don't believe me, you can go here and get you're BMI
http://www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.htm
but please don't let your dad take you down, i know he's your dad, but you seriously need to stand up to him before you hurt yourself by trying to loose weight to make HIM happy! you need to make YOURSELF happy, not him...

If you're 5'7" you are just fine. Don't let him do that to you. I had that problem growing up and it really messed me up. Don't get me wrong, my parents were great otherwise, but they focused so much attention on weight as I was growing up (and I was not fat) that I have a weight problem now as an adult. My sisters struggle to keep weight off too. You need to stand up to your father and tell him that it hurts your feelings and that there are more important things in life to harp about. Unless you are a danger to yourself (develop diabetes, extremely obese with high blood pressure, apnea, etc...) I don't think ANYONE has the right to pass judgement and make you feel inferior. Eat right, exercise, and when your father says that again - tell him he needs to love you for who you are and that you're happy and that's all that should matter. Geesh, I so wish I had learned that earlier in life.

Being your tall, you're not really fat, tall people just weigh more, they've got more bone weight etc. Your Dad telling you you're fat is his way of trying to tell you that you should tone up, it's the only way he knows how to say it. He thinks by saying it like that, it will encourage you to get fit, but he doesn't realize how harmful them words are. You don't want to be really skinny, with you since you're tall, you can't think of weight as a #, you have to think of it as a look, because you are always going to weight more than the shorter girls. Just tell your Dad how his words aren't helping. If he doesn't stop, talk to your Mom about it. If she doesn't make him stop, than talk to a school counselor. Don't worry about what other people think, as long as you're happy, who cares. 145 at 5'7" is not fat, don't let other peoples words control you, don't make yourself bulimic or anorexic over them, try to encourage yourself to be happy w/ who you are & not let other people influence negative thoughts upon you.

My dad used to sing this song to me every morning "fatty, fatty 2 by 4 couldn't get through the bathroom door"...it really hurt me as I was a bit chunky at 13, not near heavy, but I quit eating and wound up in the hospital! I was 14 and 5'8 and 105 lbs!
My father said he was just teasing me because he loved me, and that he never meant that I was REALLY fat.
Talk to your dad, show him and article on anorexia and bulimia, let him know that teasing you is no way to say I love you, and it can KILL you!
Ps..you are not fat!

Tell your Dad that he needs to help get you in activities and encourage you rather than just talking. It would help you to get out of the house and off of the computer so much, and you could get away from your Dad's negativity.

yep dad is a twit to condescend about your weight no matter what your weight is..sounds like your weight is fine. If you are looking to learn proper eating habits get your family doctor to send you to a dietition.

Just forget about your dad, is like you feel with yourself, if you are not comfortable with your weight, verify if your height is according with your weight, then make your own decision
