When I go to save an image in Photoshop it asks me how I want to save it. e.g Windows, Mac Master then asks me normal or interlaced?

The it asks me another question. I always click on whats recommended but would love to know more info on the options.

Can anyone help?

Try this for some good information. Image formats largely depend on what you need the image to do, print, web etc.
This tutorial covers a good amount of the information.
