I'm on my 4th day of no smoking and I need to know if it's just in my head or what. I just started getting this killer headache that began in the back-right side of my head and moved the the front-right. I'm getting a shaking in my hands and I feel bummed.
Is that normal and am I going to have these things for a while if it's the withdrawal symptoms of quitting?

By the way, I have a full pack of ciggs next to me. in my head I wanna smoke a cigarette but then it's like I don't want to after I think about the lightheadedness. I do have cravings, but it's very little.

I would say stick it out.i have been off them since august.it was after a few good runs but i kept slipping up and would kick myself each time so now i am going by the thought that its easier to keep going than to give in.which it is.in the long run.i think what you are experiencing is normal.probably a mix of the withdrawls from the nicotine and the psychological side of it aswell.are you stressed out???what i think is a good idea when quitting is to replace it with exercise.go for a walk.not only are you replacing it with another activity but youre replacing something bad with something good.it will take your mind off it and might help with the headaches.stick it out.dont give in to feel better for a short time.good luck

You don't mention if you are using a nicotine patch or gum to help you. I tried to use those products, and those are the symptoms I got from using them.It could also be a migraine starting due to the loss of the nicotine. Try some excederin migraine formula or drink a cup of coffee and 2 of your preferred pain relief meds.Ie: ibuprofen, aspirin, acetominophen. But keep it up,I quit after 30+yrs and it's worth it.

It's normal and should be gone within the next day or so. Withdrawl symptoms only last a week or so. It's the habit of reaching for them and lighting them up that keeps us going back to smoking. Also, if you would get rid of that pack of cigs and stop torturing yourself with them you might stop reacting with the headaches and shaking. Stop doing that to yourself...throw them out!

Yes it's normal. Eventually it will slowly be less painful. I quite smoking now for five months. It gets easier and easier each brand new day. The longest I quit for was 3 years, so this time my goal is five years. I believe if I could stop smoking for five years, I got the problem beat.

if u quit now and pick up smoking again later, u'll have a higher chance of dying from cancer. so if u quit, don't start up again. withdrawal symptoms will hit u hard, drink lots of water and eat fruits. excersize helps too.
uuuuuUUUUUUUuuuuuUUUUU can do it!

Totally normal........but if it still happens when you are fully having no cravings, talk to a doctor.
