Ok first of all I am a Hairstylist So here u go- Ok so When you have virgin hair( hair that hasnt been touched) It is like a sponge absorbing everything. THen After u Lighten it it Turns ito A sponge wrapped in syran wrap; Reason being is this- What u are essentially doing is RIPPING out all that pigment. .It goes thru levels and levels to reach that blonde color. While u r doing this u are making tiny holes all over your hair. In other words your color has no where to stick. Your hair is no longer sticky like glue, its more like used tape.So Heres My solution- If when u put on your color it is lighter then what u want it within 1-2 wks.. Go a shade darker. It might b a bit dark at first but again within 1-2 wks it will b good because it has faded to the shade u want. U should be coloring your hair every 4 wks probley anyways. I also suggest u make sure u are using a semi or demi permanent color ( it will still b good enough to last 4 wks) reason being is that your hair needs to repair. And if u are using permanent color U are Lifting first then Depositing , and all u need is to deposit. U can even try to double process your hair or what i like to call it is DOUBLE DIP.. That is coloring it (with Semi or demi) then Doing it right after again. It will not damage your hair. Also remember to use Color treated shampoos. And only wash your hair every 2-3 days. Also stay out of the sun. If u are going to b in the sun use a Sun protectent spray. And if all else fails Go to the beauty salon for your color. Tell them your problems and ask them if they can use a color filler..( it is like a primer for paint) It will help the color adhere to your hair. GL!

change the color and use only a semi (or demi) permanent color. or have the stylist use only about a 2 volume developer instead of a 20 volume developer (for more color deposit).

every time you get your hair colored back to it's 'natural' color it's removing your natural color from the root area and depositing the artificial color which is why it keeps fading the way it is.
the stylist probably needs to add some type of ash color to your formula.

Hair color will always fade. Use a shampoo for color treated hair. Try having it professionallly done until it grows out. It will be worth the extra money in the long run.

when you bleach your hair blond it makes it very porous and its hard to get it to hold color. The only thing you can do without any further damage is to keep putting a demi permanent color on your hair intill you are able to get all of the bleached part cut out

just make sure u always use a special shampoo for color-treated hair, something specially formulated for blonde hair...that should help preserve your color & ensure that it doesn`t fade quickly...i use tigi dumb blonde (it`s not just for blondes, it helps nourish & replenish any shade of colored hair), i`m not blonde but i color my hair & i`ve had excellent results with it!!!

Time to go and get it done by a professional hairdresser. They will be able to do it the way you want it.
