This is the first prophecy by which Adam and Eve were saved as they looked forward to God's Messiah.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

In plain english. Adam, the first man, has bruised the woman at the beginning of our long journey with God. But the woman will give the man a smashing blow to the (Head), at the end of the journey. - A fatal smash.
