Thats what causes the trouble they all believe theres is the true one.So for centuries there has been nothing but trouble & it will never end.I would put a total ban on all religions.

In the same way you cannot expect Iranians to know the lirics of "Star spangled banner", you cannot expect everybody to belief or see things the way you do.
Most religions share a common ground. Their differences are derived from cultural reasons (an eskimo would not see a good salad with the same eyes as you; you wouldn.t like to eat sea lyon, but he would love it). The value of things changes as much as people change throughout the world, and religions change in the same measure.
But the common ground is very similar, so they can live together
(I'd better say they should...)

As a Christian who believes Jesus when he said that He was the way, the truth, and the life, I can love others as people who are created in God's image but I cannot respect any religious system that denies the truth about Jesus. There is a difference between tolerating people and giving respect to teachings that contradict the Bible.

As a Christian I have to believe that this is the one true faith, but yet I know that God loves all of us and we all have a dignity in God that should prevent us from hating or being intolerant of other faiths, just because I believe that mine is the right one does not mean that I have the right to injure others, we all must come to the truth in our own lifetime and as God alone is the only real truth then it is everyones birth-right to come to the truth without persecution or bias.

Stef,
I can only tell you a couple of things. I am a Non-Denominational Christian who believes that Bible is GOD's Inspired WORD. Jesus Christ, our Messiah told us to LOVE thy neighbor as thyself and if I am unable to tolerate other religions and denominations then I am certainly not following what HE told us to do there. HE also told us in Matthew 28 to go out and teach others the gospel so I attempt to do so in this forum whenever I am able to do so. I am disabled and unable to get out of the house many times so I use this site to allow me access to others for that purpose. I also attempt NOT to disturb others in doing so. I have a number of Atheist, Agnostic, and Muslim persons who I speak with via email and do not attempt to tell them that they are "going to HELL" when their views differ from mine unless they are open to this discussion, I do not "preach at them" whatsoever. I also feel that there are a number of denominational churches who have taken their members a ,long 'way from GOD's TRUTH and attempt to discuss this with them whenever possible but I DO NOT shove it down their throat either. I truly love people and want to teach GOD's WORD as it is written in the BIBLE. Have a great Lord's Day. May HIS Peace be upon you and those who read this statement.
Thank you,
Eds, A Simple Christian

I tend to respect someone like Cat Stevens who takes their religion seriously enough to be out-spoken about other religions.
Your religious beliefs aren't like your preference in politics or favorite football team .... with no eternal significance. There is profound eternal signficance in whether you are a believer in Jesus Christ or not ... the difference between mercy and justice being received on Judgment Day.

Because they are just beliefs, not facts.
The others might just be right, so you have to be tolerant.
They are all different roads leading to the same place.
Doesn't matter which route you take.
Most have a philosophy of "do unto others", and it is not a bad way to live.

Whilst I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the authentic Christian Church, it does not mean that the other Christian denominations are bogus : Christ said to His followers "Whoever is for us, is not against us". It is for God to judge the different faiths, not us.
