Ie someone who wears little or has slept with many considered having few morals.

Funny I though morality is being nice to others and not bullying or getting so intoxicated you hurt others, or neglect safetly.

Ie as long as you hurt none do as you will.

So why not apply that code to sex.

ie swinger parties and being gay or 3 somes morally good.

Affairs, rape, etc bad as hurting others.

And not using condoms and the pill comes under neglecting safety like cutting corners on a building site.

Sex was demonised by the patriarchal religions, the church was about power over others and hence concerned itself in other people's relationship to the Divine to supress inner power which came from direct connection to the Divine. In order to gain this power it murdered, distorted and used physical force against anyone who would not accept their power, this was primarily seen in the Church's attack on witchcraft, the presence of the feminine Divine and the power of sexuality and creation so obviously apparent particularly in free women

Define "moral" and "morality". These have different meanings in different cultures and even within a culture.

The Mormon religion allows a man to have four wives though our law says he can only have one. Is it immoral for a Mormon to have four wives if his religion says he can?

Arab Sheiks sometimes have many wives and are considered more highly the more wives they have - they don't consider it to be immoral.

If you and your partner and the neighbours next door agree to a 'wife swap' who is to say it is immoral? How do you judge? By the Bible? It doesn't mention swingers.

Is being promiscuous immoral - if a girl sleeps with several guys she gets called a sl*t. If a guy sleeps with several girls he's a champion with his mates. Double standards for sure. So really what is moral or immoral?

I guess anything which your society does not believe you should do. Not because it physically harms anyone but because it is against their "rules". Don't like their rules? Move, buy your own island and have as many women (or guys) as you like.

Sex is the integral part of our life and life itself evolves thro the same. That is the reason why we were created with sensitive mind on anything touching on sexuality.sex is almost sacred in most societies and it is almost a taboo to discus it with somebody you can call your parent or kinsman.Sex untill recently touched on child making and some places children could not be told how a baby was born. They used to be cheated babies were collected from the hospitals otherwise you wuold invite inquisitive questions from innocent children if you told them babies were born. They wanted kids to remain that way until they grew up and came to know the real story when they grow up.

Sounds like you want to decide the Morality code.

If what's good for one is good for all, then I assumed you have no problems coming home and finding your significant other bouncing under the covers with someone else.

Sooner or later everyone reaches their intolerance point. Thus, you set the definition of wrong or taboo, which another may not agree with.

You have a weird way of looking at morality, but "morals" are simply the ways we act, right or wrong and the ways people "accept" or don't "accept" behavior. Moral "opinions" differ from one person to the next and are as plentiful as there are fish in the sea. Societies, though, throughout the world have set down "rules," just as religions have set down rules as to what "moral" values ARE according to "their" own "VALUES", and some of those values are set down by governments as LAWS as to what is "morally" ACCEPTABLE. Put simply, "morals" means our "character" in our good or bad behavior as "seen" and "judged" by those making the JUDGEMENTS and will always VARY.......

interesting that you haven't had any religious answers yet. i certainly agree with you. there is nothing wrong with sex, and lots of it, as long as you protect yourself
i wonder if sky diving is immoral? you have a much greater chance at killing yourself than with sex. the bible says to treat your body as a temple, so i would think that risking your life at extreme sports is against that rule. what do you think?

It falls into the category of morality because God is the ultimate law giver. He has established marriage as a sacred institution where a man and a woman take a vow before God to be united for life. In the Bible adultery is often compared to people who are supposed to be God's chosen people going out and worshipping other "gods".

As to homosexuality, that goes against God's design for human beings. God intended for a man to become "one flesh" with his wife and to be fruitful and multiply. So someone who has sex with another person of the same sex is rebelling against God's stated purpose for sexual unions.

In regards to pre-marital sex, God understands that young people have trouble controlling their urges but He says that if they have sex then they need to get married.

Exo 22:16 "If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.

If any party in the sexual activity is consenting then it's no one else's business!

However, the pope claiming we shouldn't use condoms...that's criminal!
