not wierd , but could you find a way to keep the cat from pulling on them or rubbing them so it did not tear and cause infection.?

Weird is a judgement call, just think of the pros and cons.

Pros - kitty looks different to other cats

Cons - high possibility of infection; when the kitty tries to bathe he will pull on the earring and possiby tear his tender ears; when squeezing into tight spots, as cats do, there's a good chance the earrings will catch and pull out; getting the cat to keep still while piercing the second ear will be nigh impossible; you would be causing your lovely cat pain for your own amusement; the other cats will laugh

Try getting your vet's advice first and if you choose to do it, please do not try it yourself, you could harm your pet.

Good luck

Yes it would be weird. Why would you want to own and care for an animal one moment, and then staple some metal into their ears the next?

With all of the jumping and climbing your cat must be sure to enjoy, what happens if one of its earrings gets caught and ripped out?

I would suggest not to do this. It's cruel as well as being weird.

A cats eat is not like a human ear.
Humans don't move their ears the same way that cats do.
If the hole isn't perfectly placed, it could cause permanent damage to the animal.

Not only weird, but likely unsafe for the cat, considering that they wash their ears with their paws and could catch a claw in the jewelry and tear the ear pretty badly as a result.

I don't see the logic in peircing an animal's ears. A cat is very sensitive with his ears and I think it would be cruel to do that. Just love him like he is. Unpeirced ears and all :)

I have never seen a cat with his ears pierced, I think it would be uncomfortable for them.
