i like this instructor who works at the local gym, Whenever i go there, he always chats to me for about 45 mins to an hour on a one to one about all kinds of stuff, he always asks me to go in when he is working, he tells me the times of when he was working and asks me to go in and see him. He came into the gym looking for me once too. He has given me compliments and also walked me to my car the once, and I never notice him talking to any other girls! He has a girlfriend but has recently split with her, and he told my friend that he knows that i like him and that he doesnt want to lead me on, so now I'm really confused, it really seemed like he liked me, I mean why would he spare so much time talking to me and why would he ask me to come in ect, if he had no attraction/interest at all?could it be it's too soon for him? do you think he likes me at all?

You are blond, and seem healthy and anatomically correct. Why wouldn't he be into you? Of course, there are all sorts of levels of liking someone, so even though he is drawn to you, it may not be in his best interest to get too involved with you - accept it.

More importantly, you have a degree in psychology, yet you have been asking this same question for over four months now. From a psychological perspective, is that healthy?

as a 50 yrs.old woman & a mother speaking to you, it seems like this gentleman has some attraction on you, but he might not want to make the first move.BEWARE! He is good in making woman to fall for them, and then leave them when he finds another replacement. Just be careful in dealing with him, and it is very important to know the REAL reason why he split with his girlfriend. If the guy really likes you, he must has ask you to have coffee with him,or find a way to get your phone number. But he seems not sure of himself whether to persue you or not. Just keep cool don't show any sign that you like him. Let him persue you.

IT is not about him but about you. You like him so ask him out. Guys appreciate women who ask them out especially if they are attractive women. Just because you like him does not mean that you cannot spend time with him as just a friend so it shouldn't matter that he just broke up with someone although you don't want to be on the rebound but it is too soon to be thinking about that. First, just go out with him and have fun... no pressure. You may realize that he is not all that you thought he was after one date.

Maybe he isn't quite sure about his own feelings and doesn't want to do anything wrong.
I think you should just go on like this for a while and maybe later ask him out or something. Because it really sounds as if he liked you. I cannot imagine why he would talk to you that much if he wasn't attract at all to you....

probably likes you, but probably got another girl on the line too

most guys and gals like to have a "spare tire" around..it is good for their ego..the fact he does not ask you out is not a good sign..maybe he just likes you as a gym friend as he already got a girl he dates outside of the gym and she can't be there to see what he is up too..just be friendly but not so available to him in the future...yeah..it could be he is enjoying his freedom from the last relationship...or he is hoping to get her back? it does not sound normal how he is treating you...

Well, he must be enjoying your company if he talks to you a lot, but he probably went through some horrible times splitting up with his ex, so now he may be a bit cautious starting something new... Don't worry, relax, just take your time, let your friendship with him smoothly develop and one day he'll be head over heels over you :)

He likes you a lot. He is just scared you won't return the same feelings. If you like him, ask him out. Give him some signs that you are interested. See where it goes. Good luck

Invite him for coffee one afternoon.
Its a harmless invitation, but a good way to judge a reaction.
Take it slowly from there.
Enjoy
