No. Pictures are not removed during disk clean up.
If you need to find them, get Picasa by Google.

Just "Delete" them normally and empty the Recycle bin. Over time, other files will over-write the space where your pictures were on the hard disk.
Really paranoid? Try Eraser.

They are not under temp files. They are in the directory where you downloaded them to.
To find out where that is, either:
A) Go to the C:\Program Files\.... directory where your camera program is.
or
B) Download some more pics and find where the directory is that way.

Just do a search on your computer for *.jpg and you will find all pictures... you can then hold the shift key when you press delete to avoid the recycle bin

it depends on where you saved them to...more then likely they are under the program that coexists with your camera. go into that program right click the pic and delete. then go to your garbage can on your desktop and click on that. then delete those files. also the files could be saved under pictures in your administrative file. click the start button, click on my computer, click on administrators documents, click on pictures and see if those unwanted pics are there. then proceed to delete them and return to your garbage can and delete the there too.

If you copied them from your camera to say, My Pictures, then that is the only place they will be unless you moved them. Delete them from there and then empty the recycle bin and for all intents and purposes, they are gone.

If you have a CD burner put them on there. If not maybe you have 'A' for use with floppy discs... put them onto there.
