I would actually say the Africans... Granted, n.Americans have an advantage with training and weaponry... but the Africans have lived in all types of terrain, fought in all types of weather... the list could go on. Even when brought to Asia to fight the Japanese in the second world war, they adapted vicariously and beat the Japanese on many different occasions.

eja 1931 has it right. The Ghurkas (from Nepal) used to dominate the international infantry competitions. They had such a fearsome reputation that India and the UK finally signed a treaty over how many battalions the UK could employ at any one time. Everyone I know who has seen them in action agrees.

If it is incubating terroist to avoid them attacking them ,then Britain is it.
If it is fighting the masses with Hard Crack ,then North Americans will be there.
