found this, and it shows they do visit but due to size remain outside the port.

Hence no public visits, however due to the prescent day situation even if possible it would not be allow, an open public day to visit the Carriers would put the ships at high risk.

Don't think so, but if it's of any interest, I was in the army in Aden, all sorts of ships docked there, I visited a British aircraft carrier had a tot of the rum issue (yes I am going back a bit in time) I had a look around where they slept (bloody hammocks) etc, then I visited a large American carrier, the difference was unbelievable , bunk beds ice cream and steak for breakfast if they wanted it, I don't think much has changed since then, apart from the Brits rum ration now stopped, and that was like treacle!

Now and then, most ships programmes are Confidential and unless it is a public event IFOS / Navy Days etc, then you'll probably never know when a carrier is in, or due to come in.
If you want to see a UK carrier then Portsmouth Dockyard have an open weekend in May ( late May B/H )... enojy!!!!!!

I seriously doubt it, most aircraft carriers are deployed in the east, with the unease at the moment. I'm sure they won't come all the way to UK

Whether they are in US or UK waters, it is all the same, but the question is are people in the UK interested at all in going aboard a US naval ship!

No the US aircraft carriers are to big to come close to land because they are so big and the waters around the UK are quite shallow.
