My friend overstayed in Australia and was excluded for 3 years which has now finished and is now having great difficulty getting another visa! Has anyone else had this problem, or knows anyone that has? I thought once you had "served your time" all was good again! She left voluntarily and at her own expense so I don't really see what the Australian Immigration Department's problem is! Thanks all and happy travelling lol

Of course she will have a difficult time - she violated Australian law. She was excluded for three years, by statute. Now, she is eligible to re-apply, but that does not mean that she will be approved. What is to say that she will not overstay again? All countries are putting much more effort now into enforcing their immigration laws, which means that people are going to have to start accepting responsibility for their actions when they choose to violate the law.

Just as people from everywhere are having problems getting visas to visit USA, the US citizens too will have to face similar problems! This is what we call in immigration or visa language 'reciprocacy'!
Take for instance, an Australian awaiting trial in connection with the 9-11 incident. American citizens caught committing any crimes overseas will also face similar treatment. In fact, there are more things in the pipe line than what has seen the light so far!

you have the superb time of your life, so decide for it. I went in 2003 with a company pronounced as CCUSA. They have been quite good - they taken care of my Visa out, reported flights and expenses (whether i chanced on greater low-priced ones myself on the information superhighway), picked me up from the airport, booked and paid for my first 2 nights accomodation and presented consistent help throughout the time of my trip. they have workplaces all around oz..which you would be able to bypass to once you like something (suggestion, reserving journeys, and so on.). in addition they prepare you around the city (I went to Sydney). I certainly cant advise them enormously adequate (i do no longer artwork for them the two!). take a glance on the information superhighway internet site hyperlink below and notice what you think of. i replaced into quite aggravating that happening my very own could be troublesome, yet i replaced into so incorrect. in case you reside in hostels there are continuously human beings to fulfill and seek advice from. maximum heavily there are a number of people who you could bypass out with and have a large snicker. I met diverse people who i'm nevertheless in touch with - a number of them I regard as my superb acquaintances.

They don't like the US. Brits are just fine and dandy. If a brit did the same, they would be allowed to return.
