Will the COT have a really big difference in racing? Drivers adapt . If they are truley stock car racers they will find that the COT will be the best thing since.........uh....well....sex. I mean...come on people. These guys and gals get a rush of speed. And engine builders will get better. Crew chiefs will get smarter. Drivers will get craftier.

Yes. I agree. The drivers, crew chiefs, engine builders and pit crews will all adapt and get used to the COT. This is not the first time NASCAR has made a change in the cars that the drivers use. Although, this is by and far the biggest change that most of the young drivers have ever had to endure.

First of all, I want to say that I agree with NASCAR's decision to find some safety features for the drivers of the sport. Safety should be paramount. I believe that the addition of the crush resistant material on the drivers side is a great modification.

However!! I have to say that I believe the removal of the front air valence and the rear spoiler, and their being replaced by the front air splitter and rear air wing, has NOTHING to do with safety. NASCAR has been aggressively trying to expand their fan base for the past few years. The cosmetic changes to the stock car, in my opinion, were nothing more than an attempt by NASCAR to add to their fan base by making the car look more GT or eurosport. It did nothing for safety, with the exception of maybe slowing the cars down some.

But, like I said from the beginning. Everybody will adapt. Hopefully, all the fans will be able to adapt as well.

Agree that will make some differences in NASCAR.People act as if this is new, drivers act as if they never drove one, this has been in the planning stages for more than 6 years.NASCAR makes the rules and we have to watch what they produce.
Me I'd rather them get the car from the showroom and build them so they are stock cars.
That's all I have to say about that.
