None. Regular 43 car fields came around about 6-8 years after Petty retired, and 36 race seasons, about the same time period.

The King won 200 races. With most of his wins in the "old" era, when NASCAR raced 2 or 3 times a week.
That's all I have to say about that.

Petty had 200 wins and 7 championships. People may say that it won't ever happen again because racing is too competitive today. Remember, it took a lot of skill to drive those old cars. If you've ever driven one, you know how bad they can handle.

Richard Petty won 200 races.
He did not win one race in the last 7 year's of his career. His last race, he spun and crashed`. So he got a DNF in his final race. (Did Not Finish)
On a side note. Jeff Gordons first race was on the same day as Petty's last race sorta rushing in a new era..
Petty is still the KING and is still alive and can kick Jeff Gordons *** at any time....you know...like in a fist fight...in the pits...Gordon can keep his helmet on...
