k in all reality 6 year diffence is the max before you make ur self look like a slut or man whore. think about it what do men usally want if the girl is vulnerable? Trust me sex is everything when it comes to age diffrence. the guy is pretty much a loser if he is 21 or old hanging out at a high school looking for a quick lay or a relationship. For me my girlfriend was a sophmore when i was a senior. we are still together and she is 17 and im 19. but really look at sum of the age diffrences like 14 with a 20, or 12 with a 18 thne the real petafiles 15 with a 25 year old. Yes i know there is accual true love out there but its gonna have to be in a 5 year diffrence relationship cause any thing over than that is just sick and disturbing. also think of it this way what if the guys is the old enough to be ur dad? if i had a daughter and she was going out with a guy that was as old as me there would be a bullet somewhere in that individual. just be reasonable and dont over do it.

Because large age differences inevitably lead to differences in a) level of emotional maturity and b) priorities in life.

For example, say that a 45-year-old man gets with a 20-year-old woman. At that age she is just barely a woman -- she probably hasn't even finished college yet. There's a good chance that she is ready to start a family, but he may have all the children that he wants from a previous marriage.

Now flip the script; the woman is 45 and the man is 20. He is just starting a career while she is (or should be) well into planning retirement. And on the subject of children, she may not be able to provide him with any if he wants them; at 45 she may be going through menopause.

A large age difference guarantees that people will be in different life stages and thus dealing with different issues. It's one more obstacle to keeping a relationship together. Doesn't make the task impossible, mind you, but it definitely make the job harder.

it is a big deal - if I meet a girl in her 20's it may be okay with her but I will have to be prepared to hear it from her friends or family. I am 36 - I have no kids or ex wife - have never been married. Most of the eligible women I see ( that do not have kids and have not been divorced ) like me - most of them are in their 20's. I just have to be prepared to be challenged about the age - my age. Its always a big deal. I don't look my age at all while most women my age look it or older. So naturally I connect to women a bit younger than me. Most people say I look in my mid to late 20's. The two consenting adults may not make a big deal - but thier peers or family certainly will.

Because it can be a big deal whan a 13 year old is dating a 18 year old. So yes that would be a big deal because it is illegal. And if you don't understand that there is a big deal in age difference than you are an idiot. If they are both over 18 than it is different

this is a very good question. well i think the age thing is a bigger deal when you're younger. it doesnt seem like that big of a deal when you're both older and more mature. if you ask me, all that matters is if you really like each other and get along. age shouldnt matter that much and people need 2 stop making a big deal of things and mind their own business.

When there is a romance between two people of vastly different ages, my question is "what do they talk about?" It's hard to find things in common with people your own age, much less someone who has 4, 10 or 15 more years experience than you do. Tell the cradle robber to hit the road.

how would you feel if you had a 10 yr old daughter or sister or brother or son and they had sex or dated a 20 yr old?.....THAT is why it is a big deal. but if both people are over the age of 18....that is a different story.

It depends. If one of the persons are under the legal age, then it should be a big deal.
If both of the persons are adults, then it`s up to them. If they are happy that`s all that matters. But I do find myself wondering what a 60year old have in common with a 20year old or something like that... But if it works for them, why not. It`s their life....
