I was not born to my faith.....
I have studied quite a few in the years I've been around searching.....
I first began Catholicism, then baptist, then holiness, then I did a term paper on Philosophy of religion and interviewed a buddhist......
The words he used most stood out were these: "The lotus is a hard simple seed which survives decades in water. It will bloom from the muck and rise to beautiful perfection. Such is the faith of man."
Studied Jehovah's Witness way....and studied the Muslim religion... until they said Jesus didn't die on the cross, it was Judas... i was then done with that!!!
I am content that religion matters not...... Faith is the most precious thing hidden behind the heart...... We need not press it upon the heads of others violently........ but shine like a light unto the world as it was given us.... freely...... and accepted not out of guilt but out of the pleasure derived from having it........
I will always be Christian..... No matter where I am in the world..... But, if I were born any place in the world where Christianity did not exist, I would know whatever is known there... and I would be content with what that may be.....Unless, God tells me otherwise.

Ginger,

for the past 8 or 9 years, i have been a believer of Christ...
i wasn't born like that, but i was raised to believe in God...
(i have always questioned that... & i still do)
for a season i was a true agnostic, & for a time an atheist...
if i was born of another faith, i would probably say that i would also convert to being a Christ believer...
& what separates me from those that stay with the faith they were born in... that one is hard to tell... i can say that we are all the same but we are all just different as well...

I'd probably convert to what I am now. I was born a Christian but later realized Agnosticism was the best way for me. If it happened once, it would probably happen again if I were born into any other faith.

I was born into a Catholic home but was disillusioned by Catholicism and began searching God for answers. He revealed Himself to me through Jesus Christ. I had a true born-again experience and have remained a Born-again believer since, over 25 years. I have never been disappointed in my relationship with the Lord, although I've been disappointed by religion.

I was raised a Christian. Not the fundie kind though. I realized many years ago that I believe in reincarnation and that Jesus is the son of God as we are all children of god, and perhaps a prophet. Nothing more divine than that. I will never ever consider Christianity again because I have seen too much Christian ignorance and bigotry.

Hey, God found me first. I think that if I was born Zoroastrian, God would have found me anyway. If I was born Chinese and immersed in Tibetan Buddhism, God would have found a way to get me to Him.
