Why is the obvious so hard to understand?
Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddist....whoever.

Can you see that God is all powerful and would never need your help in the killing of someone. But they're is another one who is not allowed to kill people unless he gets to the help of other people by confusing them until they do it. Do you know his name? I don't have to say anymore Do I???

Stop saying that people should die in Gods eyes. You did not create the entire universe he did. Why would the almighty need your puny help in the slaughtering of people. They is the at the heart of all are problems in this world.

God only ordered them to fight wars when they themselves were about to be slaughtered.
My point exactly about Sodom, when he wanted something done, he does it.

God did not change his mind about Abraham. He wanted to know how much Abraham loved him. He was testing Abraham.

Can you see that Christianity's God is not the same as the Muslim's God. All religions are not the same. They stem from different backgrounds and different regions in the world, who know little of anything else and do not care to know. They don't know about the loving Christian God. The God they know is demanding and expects their full cooperation to assist him in his plans for world domination.

Why people blindly assume that the deity worshipped by the people of the Old Testament is the God Almighty? Why they could not see the difference between the deity speaking in the O.T. is different to Jesus of the New Testament?
I want to have close relationship with YHWH and/or Jesus...
Then I found out that YHWH failed to build his kingdom on earth [1 Sam.8:7-10]. Moreover YHWH apply double-standard morality. YHWH forbid to murder a man [6th of the Ten Commandment], yet YHWH commanded the Israelites to murder every Amalekhites! [1Sam.15:3]
The behaviour of Jesus will not let Him to murder anybody! It was better for Jesus to get killed rather than killing.

Hello! What about the God who told Abraham to kill his son? Luckily he changed his mind - but wasn't it a fairly foul question for a "loving Father" to present to Abraham, just for the satisfaction of knowing he would obey? That tale alone would induce me to take responsibility for my own life and actions - without confusing the issue with ideas of supernatural beings or religious doctrine (and that's where I think the greatest trouble lies).

God has told people to kill many time over in the bible. He gave on people the ability to crush and entire army with sticks and rocks. He also instructed Abraham to kill his sons. It's a false assumption God does not order death. He himself has laid cities to waste for denying him.

Yep, Abraham was definitely not speaking to god when he was told to sacrifice his son. He was misled by your devil. EDIT: If God knows everything, wouldn't he ALREADY know how much Abraham loved him? Why does he test people if he already knows the outcome?

If it ain't god then who done told me?? That's the whole problem there. They can not see. It is a form of blindness and just as efficient. No matter what you do you can not get a blind man to see vermilion.

I note some silly answers to this, involving biblical quotes. The responders are obviously missing the point which you have made, which point is entirely valid.

But god has told people to kill other people many, many times. Just go back and read your bible. God not only told his people to kill but to commit genocide, repeatedly. It's true he can do it himself if he wants to (he's done that often enough too), but I guess sometimes he just doesn't feel like it and wants us to do it for him.

Actually no.
I as a Jew, strongly believe God told me to kill all Amalekites for what they did to my forefathers when they were going out of Egypt.
