In the love handle section...

Had a CT, abdomen pelvis....for kidney stones, but even after pissing them out, the side still hurts. It's been a pain for years....my past kidney stones don't seem to be related to this one.

Sounds like you might have gal bladder infection and probably gal stones.

Or could be a kidney stone, but that is more on the back side

If the pain was lower it could be appendix.

But to me is sounds like gal stones.

Also just might be some gas

Call your doctor

You could be constipated.

If you have been taking strong pain medications for this pain you might want to consider stopping because they may be causing the pain. If this is the case try drinking some prune juice or other laxatives to relieve your constipation and get off any pain meds.

It could also just be chronic pain or damaged nerves or scar tissue.

I felt the same way too awhile back and found out after a few hospital visits and stays that it was the pain medications that were responsible.

I hope this gives you a better idea of some possibilities of what is going on with you. If not, see a G.I. specialist; I did.

Take care.

The suggestion about the possibility of gallstones is a good one. Because of the fact that one dr said that it's gas (and I've had gas get trapped under my ribcage before and when I did so it hurt a lot as I waited for it to pass) I would get another opinion.

Preferably by someone that is not in the same office of your current physician or the one that told you it was just gas if that dr was a second opinion dr.

It's very common for gas to be felt in the area you describe. Just because you've passed gas doesn't mean there isn't more trapped in the colon that can cause pain. It is, however, in the region of the gallbladder so you should have that checked out. You could also have diverticulitis or diverticulosis.

Did your doctor check to see if it's gallstones? Try laying off any fried foods for awhile and drink lots of water and see if it feels better. If it continues to hurt, or gets worse, get to a hospital right away. If it is gallstones and it bursts, the damage could be irreparable.
