Where can I buy receiver modules that can be programmed to receive on a specific frequency? Specifically I'm looking for modules that can interface easily with microcontrollers (digital tuning) Thanks!

Bluetooth and Zigbee are a couple of well-known protocols for short-haul wireless, but the data rate is quite low.
