Because every possible outside influence is telling everyone boys, girls, men and women what and how they need to be to the point we dont know what or who WE really are

That is a myth. A lot of guys don't even try to go after someone who isn't available. It isn't that comfortable for one thing. For another thing, why would he take his time doing that when he can spend it finding the one that is available.

Alot of people, from both gender, want to be someone they are not... in fact, im sure everyone has atleast once wanted to be someone they were not... (unless that person is narcissistic)

They are looking for role models, which is a good thing.
They want to succeed, which is good.
They aren't sure who they are yet, which is ok and part of growing up.
