well, become a whole person first. A person who is complete and able to manage on their own. Then when that other comes along it will be two wholes and not two halfs.

I don't think there are soul mates, but I do believe that there are people that could die happy together, y'know? I think some people could be together forever and keep the spark going. It just doesn't happen often.
Try to stay optomistic about life. I have a boring-as-hell love life, but I try not to let it get me down.

There are several persons for each of us; but you do have to feel complete yourself before you find those that really "match" you. So check where you are in life--and where you are spending your time--is your job satisfying, your education complete, do you have quality social activities (church, sport, theater, volunteer organizations?) You will find those matches while doing things you really enjoy. It also helps to know just what qualities you need in a man so you will recognize him when you see him! Usually that person won't be hanging around the singles meat market.

Actually, I do. I'm waiting for the right guy, even though it's irritating sometimes because all my friends have bfs or gfs. It's hard having to wait it out, but what would happen if the right one came into your life while you were involved with someone else?? He might just completely rule you out because you're already taken or you might not notice him because of the guy you're with. But I understand how you feel.

i dont think there is just one person for you. i have been in and out of marriages and relationships and everytime i feel they are my soul mate. so i think you can make the relationship work as long as you can find someone that you feel something for. try not looking so hard, it will come

Yea, I believe that. I'm sorry you have such awful luck. But think of it this way: for every guy you date and every experience you go through, you learn something new. You'll find your soulmate someday, but you just haven't learned enough to make that relationship work.
Best Wishes.

I do understand what you're saying. I to am a woman that doesn't have anyone. I could have someone if I would settle for less, but I won't settle and I have to pay the price of being alone. So--- we can't have it both ways.

"One day someone is going to walk into your life and make you realize why it had never worked out with anyone else"

No, I think there are many people out there we are compatible with and can make it work with. The idea that there is just one person out there that works for you seems too unreal to me. I like the idea though. B/c i feel like you do.
