Does anyone else deal with this, and what are your solutions or ideas. I am very health conscious and I take very good care of myself. However, I am either the energizer bunny or wiped out dead on the couch. I tend to push myself too far. Sometimes I think it is a mood issue as much as anything. I dunno

There are two conditions that commonly cause a person to act this way: (1) chronic, low-level depression; or (2) bi-polar disorder.

With low-level depression (dysthymia), some people learn to beat the depression by kicking their body into high gear by trying to maintain an extreme level of activity. I am one of those people. This usually works for a few weeks at a time, and occasionally for as long as a month or two, but sooner or later, the party is over and its back to the couch for a while until some chain of events gets things going again. The key to recognizing this type of condition is that the energizing is done more or less on purpose. When things slow down to normal, it becomes difficult to find enough motivation to do things you enjoy. All of this can also be characteristic of adults with ADHD.

With bi-polar illness, the same types of swings occur, but for no apparent reason, and there is little a person can do to slow down or speed up.

Both of these things are caused by imbalances in teh chemicals that affect mood. Dysthyma can be treated with anti-depressants, cognitive therapy, or a combination of both. Bi-polar illness is a little more challenging to treat successfully, and finding a workable solution involves trial and error with a variety of medications.

Blood sugar levels are either too high or too low. Take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day to stabilize your bood sugar. ACV has 93 vitamins and minerals. You will feel energized. ACV cures depression. I have used ACV because of my mood swings. Now I am happy and sleep like a baby. I do not overeat anymore. So when you need to be energetic take your ACV. Heinz works just as well as the expensive kind. Hair and nails love ACv too.

You might want to check-out the signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder. From the website that I will provide the link for:

Bipolar disorder causes dramatic mood swings—from overly "high" and/or irritable to sad and hopeless, and then back again, often with periods of normal mood in between. Severe changes in energy and behavior go along with these changes in mood. The periods of highs and lows are called episodes of mania and depression.

My sister was recently going through something similar and it is her thyroid. They found that she has a diseased thyroid. I am not saying you do but what I am saying is you should see your family doc, Oh and my sisters blood work all showed normal, If my Mom would not have had thyroid cancer last year they probably never would have even looked there.
