There is scientific evidence that all fats are related!

Margarine was created as a vegetable oil based alternative to the animal fat based butter available.
When it was first introduced, the dairy lobbies said this new spread could not look like butter so it came in sealed plastic bags with red dye dots which were pushed to release the color and then the bag was kneaded until the yellow color was spread throughout. (This was usually the kids job)
Margarine and butter are different in taste and chemical make up which is why you can use butter to cook in a frying pan and you cannot or should not use margarine.
Like anything else with taste (trans fats are an example), the taste of anything made with butter is richer and obviously has more calories. It's the same as meat marbled with fat is more tasty.
Butter or margarine...it's a personal choice.

Margarine is better for certain things like cooking and is easier to spread than butter, also it's better for people who have high cholesterol - but otherwise, give me butter every time. I hate the taste of margarine!

Because butter is still butter, made from dairy products...for the most part...and Margarine is still an edible oil product? There is nothing that can replace butter on toast or on a hot cob of corn. Ask my kids!!!

Because margarine kills. My grandmothers doctor has that sign posted in her office. Margarine is not healthy, and it does not taste the same. I stick with butter, just not too much of it.

Margarine is more tastier than butter....?

From what I know... butter is like a "cleaner" version of margarine...
Butter has a higher quality and is usually more expensive(at least here)...
