it is partly for religious purposes but also to get rid of toxins. it is safe to do it. i have researched it plenty, and personally know people, like my mother, who have done this. anyone who's done this before have any advice?

i really won't be doing anything else those 30 other than watching TV. i'm taking time to myself. i haven't been in school for about 6 months now, so i stay home alot or go to my friends houses, so without putting alot of stress on my body and simply relaxing all day i should be fine. i'm not crazy to try to fast when i would have to go to work or go to school or anything like that.

Well, first I have to say may the lord reward you for trying. This one of the most biblical expirences that even Jesus portoke in. For what most of my friends and family who have done fast would say is stay away from water. Because, and I know this from expirence is that you will end up drinking and then you broke your fast. But biggest thing is don't let anyone discourage you from doing what you feel is right!!! You fast because you want you break it because you want. To many people who fast let other people tempt them. my final advice if you feel at any point you are going to faint.(seek medical help). I think personally a seven days fast is more realistic than 30 days. My other tip is when you break your fast start with liquid foods such as jello then work your way up to solid foods, I don't know why but my mom( a nurse) told me that after completing a seven day fast
May God bless and reward your sacrifice!!!!

Here is some advice. You only have one body and one life. Sometimes people do stupid things, for lack of a better word, that have a permanent affect of them which they can't take back. Think about 30 days of no real nourishment for your body to repair/heal or produce the cells it needs to keep you healthy. If it is cleansing you are looking to do, I don't think you need 30 days to achieve that, if it is to lose weight have enough love for yourself to find a healthier way to achieve that goal... The body can only work properly if you treat it with respect.

well if i were you, i'd eat extremely full today so it will last me longer the next day. also try not to work out or do any forms of strenous work that will make you tired and hungry. . . and can't you at least eat a salad or something. dont take this fast too seriously if you really can't take it any longer eat a little food... wouldnt want you to land in a hospital =)
although, PLEASE DONT DO THIS FOR THE SAKE OF A DIET/LOSING WEIGHT. because after 30days, either your body will take back so much food and store them as fats (resulting in you gaining back your weight), or your digestive system will try to REJECT foods you've eaten, causing you to throw up, (can't digest any food) and makes you an anorexic.

My advice is, if you want to ruin your health go ahead and do this. If you want to fast for a specific purpose then do it for no more that a few days. This makes no sense at all to think of doing a fast for 30 days.

Are you fasting for religious purposes or to lose weight? I would be sure to eat some protein like a small amount of chicken or fish and some veggies at least once per day for sustenance. I am concerned that you might harm yourself. Be careful!!!

wow it must be nice to be able to sit around and fast for a month, not having to worry about having the energy to go to work, pick up the kids, do laundry and make dinners.
on a nicer note, if you're really interested in fasting as a form of meditation or religious practice, be smart about it and start a little at a time, such as 3 days at first, and then increasing the amount of days after you learn how your body reacts to this.

Here's one suggestion: Don't do it. 30 days is far too long for only this type of sustainance. You need to eat. If you want to try to eat more healthfully, then I would do that, and ask perhaps a dietician to help you, but I would not do a 30 day fast on any kind. It sounds extremely dangerous.

This is a very unhealthy diet. You will be starving yourself, which screws up your metabolism. Instead, eat lots of fruits & veggies & excercise ALOT. Avoid chips & cookies if possible. Join the local gym & swim + work out for 2 hours every other day if it is doable. Best of luck

The advice is not to do it. That is in no way healthy for you, and even if you were to manage to pull it off, which isn't likely, you're very likely to become faint and collapse and wind up in the hospital being treated as an anorexic.

Make sure you drink about 2 liters of H20/day and be careful! Fasts can be dangerous if you are not eduated in them. Good luck if you are doing it for the right reasons.
