find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Walking enabled me to reach my potential. One I started
my body became addicted to the walks. If I ate something I shouldn't, then I would walk further. Walking is very relaxing. I joined Weight Watcher later on. Start slow, always stretch your muscles before you start. I started my walks with 1/2 mile and gradually as I became stronger
in my mussels, I would walk 1 mile, then 11/2 until I were able, the 3 miles a day or you can do this three times a week. The first there weeks were hard, but I was motivated
by being committed. Set a certain day of time.
Good Luck

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad fats, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event. Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculator to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age).

You can force your body to lose weight with not enough calories, but if you continue it, you will starve to death. With an abundance of healthy foods, you lose weight just as fast, but only until you reach your ideal weight. You can continue eating this way the rest of your life and always be at your ideal weight.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

a good balance of cardiovascular exercise (walking, jogging, sports, etc) and weight training will help as long as you are really working hard. Taking a leisurly walk won't help...get your heart pumping.
Cardio burns fat and calories and weight training builds lean muscle which will burn fat and make you look good:)
Aim for exercise 5 days per week for about an hour or more.

Also, watch what you eat. fruits, veggies, protein, and complex carbs....count your calories and drink lots of water!

Buy healthier snacks! Eating small snacks every 15 minutes is better than eating huge meals every 4 hours. Try not to put yourself where other people are eating junk food. If you already have junk food in your house, have someone lock it or put it where you can't reach it.

Finally, if you really can't give up junk food, try eating healthy most of the time and giving yourself a small treat on the weekend. Having the reward to look forward to makes it easier!

"WILL POWER"....if you don't have that...it's a losing battle with your cravings. You have to WANT to LOSE WEIGHT -MORE than you want to eat the sweets/junk food...try snacking on fresh fruit/ plain popcorn / handful of nuts / yogurt / fresh veggie sticks (carrots/celery..) drink water when you have a craving......You have to start by wanting it bad enough to lose this 15lbs...once you've achieved your goal just TRY to eat your 'sweet/treats' in Moderation. If that all fails.....try being hyptnotized....I've heard it DOES work* but try to have the WILLPOWER and do this on your own :) GoodLUck*
