I have always been leary of fish since school lunches when you get some type of soggy white fish (my guess is Cod) that is shimmery because they did such a crappy job descaling it and then when you work up the nerve to at least try one bite, you end up getting a bone and it tastes awful. But, as an adult I am trying to eat healthy and feed my family healthy foods and I also wanted to introduce fish into our diets. I have only ever eaten canned tuna, but find that I really like Salmon fillets. I can't work up the courage to try any white fishes again like Cod, at least not yet. I usually buy the salmon already seasoned. I don't remember the brand name, but at my local grocery store, they have the fillets in individual vacuum sealed packages in the frozen section in an array of flavors from lemon and herb to cracked pepper to cajun and smoked. I've also seen terriyaki. Oh, try some of the gourmet frozen preseasoned fishes from Aldi's too. Believe it or not, they have really good fish, like Ahi Tuna, and Mahi Mahi, and a few others that are wonderful. Good luck, fish is really good for you and your heart and will help your diet greatly.

Salmon is my favorite fish! It's so easy to cook and tastes great!
Try grilling a fillet on the grill. You can lay it on a piece of foil or wrap in foil and cook on the grill. Add in your favorite herbs and seasonings for great flavor. A little maple syrup adds sweetness without too many extra calories.
Also try wrapping the fillets in parchment paper and cooking htem in the oven or microwave the same way.

Here are some ideas:
shrimp
can grill then eat them on a salad, with a stir-fry, or as-is
grill on kabobs with veggies or grill them and use them instead of meat in a taco or quesadilla
salmon filets
spread with a little mustard and bake or broil
pan-sear, with a little olive oil or pam
cold-poach (this is my favorite during them summer. take a large filet or side of salmon and put it in a baking dish with high sides. boil water with lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill, and pour it over the salmon--make sure you boil enough water to cover the fish completely. when the liquid is cool, the fish will be cooked through. you can break it up and toss in a salad or with rice, pasta, or couscous)
any flaky white fish, like cod or sole
roast in the oven with vegetables
bake with lemon and capers
scallops
grill or pan-sear with olive oil or pam. can eat with veggies and rice or couscous or serve on top a salad
tuna and swordfish steaks
I usually treat these like beef: pan-sautee or grill. can spread with mustard before grilling for more flavor
cut in cubes and grill on a kabob with veggies
lobster & crab
steam or boil. either has about 100 calories for every 4oz. You just have to skip the drawn butter that's usually served with these!
hope this helps!

Here is a simple recipe that may go against alot of conception. I have a lot of friends that enjoy salmon who couldn't believe how tasty it was to simply take the piece of fish and boil it for about 6 minutes, Add salt and pepper to tadte and it will be satisfying. Please try.
