Get some money from your parents and go to the store to get the software that makes learning fun. It's like a video game only you learn your science and math and history and so on. This way you will learn all the information you need to know for your classes and school will be a breeze or a piece of cake. You also should buy some of the classics while you are there at a bookstore nearby, or go to a mall, such as Shakespeare so you can read it on your own over the summer and trust me it will come up that you will be required to read it but you by then will have a full time job and won't be able to. But if you have already read it boom. So buy Richard III, Merchant of Venice, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, and so on. Also pick up perhaps The Crucible just in case and The Scarlet Letter because you never know. Oh, and get yourself a new pair of shoes too while your there and you'll feel better. You'll probably need about 100 bucks for all that.

At the age of 14 there could be numerous things to be depressed and anxious about. I feel for you. It is good that you are talking to your counsler if your parents can't understand you right now. Keep that relationship with your counsler and try to talk it out.

Are you pressured in any way? Stressed? Has anyone approached you or done anything to you? Having issues at school? Any of these things could cause the feelings you are having and it would be normal to feel that way.

You are wise beyond your years young lady and I am proud of you, that you can identify what you are feeling and seek assistance. Good for you! Brava! God Bless You!

A good friend of mine is a youth and family therapist. And over the past several months, we have talked about the very issues you mention. You're a step ahead because you are aware of a problem and you are asking for help. The burden is not yours to bear alone. Your counselor is in a position to offer assistance and help with a referral. Your doctor can help too. Many communities have Crisis Centers with trained individuals available 24/7 to provide assistance when needed. Other United Way resources may be available too. Hang in there. You have your entire life ahead of you with so many opportunities. Don't forget to smile :-).

I think that you should tell your parents how bad you feel if you havent already. I am the same way at night. My brain never stops and at night is when it kicks it up a notch. I have found that if I play relaxing music and try to think about how relaxed I am or want to be it really helps. Or I will day dream about something that I want. It helps keep my mind of my troubles. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Sweetie you should not be so stressed out. I have provided a link for you. They have a teen center with a crisis center that has 800 numbers you can call for help if your parents aren't giving it to you.

Stress to your counselor that you need to see a doctor to discuss proper treatment and maybe the counselor will call and convince your parents.

Good luck. Don't stress, it's only life, TRUST ME, I am old enough know to appreciate all of the stress and depression I brought on myself. There is only one of you and all you can do is your very best everyday, and if you know you did, then that is all that matters.

Good luck!!!

You are maturing into your own person, and at this
point you want to please them (pressure no.1),
you are trying to do your best already (pressure no.2), and being nervous and frustrated over
these pressures are not helping you grow in other
ways. If they say, your grades need to go up,
then say you need a tutor, and that you are doing your best. Select your own through your counselor. Make a best friend and laugh a little. Complement your parents, smile,
hug them, and say you know they want what's best for you. When they yell give them the sad look and look them right in the eyes.

Continue to talk with your counselor. Be sure and tell your counselor everything that is bothering you and how you feel about these things. Emotions like fear and hopelessness can cause depression and anxiety. Also, see a doctor to rule out a possible medical problem. Have your counselor talk with your parents. If there are certain things you discuss with your counselor that you don't want your parents to know, just tell him or her.

There is a very good reason that you feel these things more at night. At night your mind and body are tierd even if you dont feel it. this will make you think illogically. also some of this might be that it is dark outside. the dark has always made things seem worse. thats why the saying goes it will seem better in the morning. try to slepp better and to kepp your mind away from things that might upset you.

you should ask your councilor to call your folks. in the mean time write them 2 letters. write one during the day when you feel better. and one at night during your more difficult time. the night time letter doesn't have to make complete sense. you can start by writing each emotion you feel. and your physical reaction to it. arrange into sentences later. this exercise can be a sort of stress reliever too. upon re-reading it may help you to understand what and why your going through this.one night time letter to your folks is enough but, try to write every night just for yourself and contemplate your words. keep your chin up your on the right track!!!! good luck!!!!

I sometimes get a bit of anxiety, especially at night, but it's only because i stress myself out so much [school, tests, parents, friends, and other stuff]. the first two times it happened, my parents took me to the doctor, and she talked to me, and gave me some good tips and methods on how to relax. talk to your parents and tell them that for no, you need someone to listen to your problem, and see if what's really going on, is healthy, or just a phase thing.

either way, keep talking to your counselor is it's any help

good luck :]
