I had a tongue ring for 7 years and it indented my bottom back gum line right behind my teeth. That and my wisdom teeth coming in on my bottom row has caused a lot of gum pain. They are bleeding when I brush my teeth and I don't know what to do. I don't have insurance and was wondering what the best course of action would be?
is there any way to get the gum back to cover where it's supposed to? I am worried that my tooth is going to rot...very gross!

If your gums have eroded, you are going to need dental surgery to fix it. The dentist will take skin from other parts of your mouth to cover up and fix that spot. Your tooth/teeth will fall out and rot if you do not do something.

My mother recently had this surgery where her gums were eroded, and it has been wonderful for her. She is no longer in danger of losing her teeth.

Your best course of action right now is to at least just go see a dentist to see how bad it is. Of course, this could be expensive.

I would suggest going to a dental school where the cost would not be as much. They would at least be able to tell you exactly what is wrong, and what could be done to fix it. Then, you could make a decision on what should be done next.
Good luck!

PEGGY,

YOU HAVE 2 ISSUES. THE WISDOM TEETH AND THE GUMS.

FIRST THE WISDOM TEETH.
WHEN A WISDOM TOOTH IS COMING IN THE GUM OVER IT BECOMES SORE TO THE TOUCH AND PAINFUL WHEN YOU CHEW.
WHY?

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, YOU'RE TEETHING HERE.

SO WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?
A SOFTER DIET WILL HELP AND THE OCCASIONAL USE OF AMBESOL OR ORAGEL PLACED ON THE TENDER GUM WILL HELP IMMENSELY.

THE SECOND ISSUE IS THE BLEEDING GUMS.
ONCE THE GUMS RECEDE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE THEM GROW BACK.
SOME OF THE REASONS FOR GUM RECESSION IS BRUSHING WITH ANY TYPE OF TOOTHBRUSH BUT A SOFT ONE. BRUSHING BY FORCEFULLY SCRUBBING THE GUMS IS ANOTHER WAY TO HAVE THEM RECEDE.

YOUR TOOTH WILL PROBABLY NOT ROT UNLESS YOU LET A CAVITY GET VERY BIG W/O EVER HAVING A DENTIST FIX IT.

THINK ABOUT HAVING A SHORT STEM FOR YOUR TONGUE RING SO YOU DON'T ACCIDENTALLY BITE ON THE SMALL BALL AND BREAK YOUR BACK TOOTH.

I'm like 95% sure gums won't grow back in place. I think I've heard something about skin grafting if it's really bad. I would find a dentist in your area that takes payment plans and go or search for an insurance plan online. It's worse for your body to leave any infection or rotting tooth in place than eating mac&cheese or soup for a month!

i might honestly arise with your dentist recession is not any shaggy dog tale and you will desire to work out the type you will desire to take care of your self, greater then in all risk i would not in my view think of the piecing might reason this yet i'm no longer a hundred% on that one. once you e book an appointment with a dentist make effective they have a hygienist i've got observed dentist that have them are greater in all risk to be very fascinated by preventive care greater so then the single's who do no longer.

Take Claires advice. Dental schools are good, but it needs to be done now. Don't wait. Call 1-800-dentist and tell them your situation, they'll find you a dentist that takes payments.
