Water does help nutrients travel through the body, and eliminate waste. Impairment of either may slow/stunt growth, but the foods you eat may be a bigger determinant of how tall you will grow. 8 cups a day of water would be better.

Water is supposed to filter your kidneys, so I don't know if that is healthy, but I'm like you--I don't drink much water but I'm doing okay cuz I get my water from the foods I eat. As for growth--I don't think that the amount you drink affects you as much as the type you drink. Most tap water isn't filled with minerals, so go for bottled water. If you take a look at the girls from my area compared to the girls in cities around us though, you can definitely see a difference. Many people have made the comment that they believe there is something in our water.

it surely isn't going to help the growth cycle. you are probably chronically dehydrated which definetly has an effect on the endocrine system. there would be no way of knowing whether or not the growth is effected
