My wedding was Oct 1 2005 and my video was done by November. And it was a very detailed video with some special effects, and even put clips from my bachelorette party and bridal shower in it. I would seriously look into why you don't have it yet. I can't believe you have waited this long. I hope you have not paid him the final payment yet. If you have I would start a small claims lawsuit

Our wedding was November 18, 2006 and our videographer was Ashely Video Productions. We got our video about a month ago, after I sent a kind email asking if he needed any help from me to finish it up. So it took about four months to get ours, when the lead time they gave us was 6 weeks. They had a problem with production, but they told me the details when I asked. Just be kind, talk to them and let them know you're concerned. The last thing you want is for your precious irreplaceable memories to be held hostage or ruined by bad blood.

If you've waited since then then I'd be checking in with them and seeing if there is something wrong or did they forget you. Normally it takes a few weeks for them to get the entire video ready. So it should have been ready even at the latest the first part of Dec. I'd be calling that videographer and finding out what is going on and why it's taken up to this long for it to be ready.

I would have found out how long after the wedding the video would be available, then if it wasn't ready by that time I would wait one more week then call. Depending on the excuse, I'd call weekly after that for a month, then daily after that for two weeks, then twice daily after that, etc etc.

How did you pay? If through the postal service contact them about mail fraud.

Have you called and asked? What have they said? Do they not answer?

Contact the BBB if they are giving you the silent treatment or the runaround. Sometimes the BBB can kick people into gear.

8 weeks tops, we ve been waiting 6 months for our wedding video with no response from the videographer.
I ve contacted Chase Bank, they have opened up a dispute claim for the payment we made in full 3 months before the wedding, I m keeping my fingers crossed we get our money back, not holding out hope for a video anymore.

Wow...you need to call him and get your video. This is way too long to wait. I received mine by the time I arrived home from my honeymoon.

Good Luck :)

You should have had it LONG before now. What does it say in the contract you signed?

Send him a demand letter. Tell him that unless you have your video in a week you will take him to small claims court. Chances are he has lost your video. Go after him.
