Your body is always "ready" to put on muscle mass.
It needs to be stimulated to start developing muscles,
You do this by exercise, diet , and mental attitude,
If you lift weights 3-4 days a week for about an hour, after six months you will have lots of muscle mass.
Need a lot of food, proteins and complex carbohydrates, multiple vitamin, calcium -magnesium, zinc, B vitamins.
Mentally , you must be consistent , determined, , and motivated to succeed, don't miss a day that is scheduled for exercise, n, You need more sleep.
After working put of a month, you body has adjusted to the schedule and starts to feel like it needs to lift weights , . When you reach that point it is 10 x easier than when you first began,. A workout partner who is motivated is best, as the two of you will keep each other into it.

Avoid skipping meals. Eating increases your matabolism, thus skipping meals can 'trick' your body into slowing down its metabolism in an attempt to conserve calories during a period it perceives as a situation where limited fuel is available.

there are no signs. accomplished bodybuilders have their diets nailed down, that's what ultimately determines the size of the muscles. resistance training only provides the stimulus for growth.

your body does not have to prepare or get ready to develop muscle mass. it just does. the more you use those muscles, the larger they grow. that's how they work.
