I can see no 'pros' to this illegal activity. The list of 'cons' appears endless. At the front of the cons list I'd put the content of the new book: Terror in America - You Are Not Safe! Very scary stuff.

They are illegal aliens, no pros, only cons. They use fake or stolen IDs, and SS cards, they also use them to get state and government aid, they disrespect our country and its flag, they march in our streets, they bring in health problems, they bring in and or sell drugs, they demand free health care, while we pay for it, they go to our schools, when at the same time not paying school tax. Oh I'm sure there are a lot more cons, but it would take all night.

I don't see any pros of illegal immigration to the general citizenry. Big business gets cheap labor, which given that wages are the lowest % of gross domestic product since WWII, are NOT being shared. Meanwhile while some prices may be fractionally lower, wages are MUCH lower in construction, meat packing, agriculture and other areas where illegal immigrants have taken over the jobs by asking for less in wages. Also meanwhile, WE have to subsidize the below poverty level wage workers with services, and our schools are overcrowded, running on 'year round schedules' with emergency credentialled teachers, and are failing our children. Hospitals are closing.

The perpetrators and their employers benefit. The rest of us pay the price.

It depends on your/my perception of reality. As far as the upper echelon of America is concerned, it saves them money and is not a pain in the butt, they never have to deal with them as the "normal folk" do. And since they aren't REALLY in touch with-or care about our society, they in turn don't even have a clue as to what's REALLY going on, ya know like Bush and the rest of the Idiots in Washington. And as far as the pro's go that's the only ones there are. And I could go on forever about the cons- but to what avail?

Pros = cheaper labor, extra income to the INS

Cons = higher illiteracy rate, uncontrolled population

The list is longer of course, but those are the two main points. This is why it's URGENT to fix our broken immigration system.

I'm with Linda, ya know, laws are based on common sense.
