Why does the fact that there are people who know God, upset others?

People seem to loose all control of their natural falcuties when one comes speaking the Truth.
There seems to be a lot of hostility here. What gives?

Probably because they can tell that there is real peace and joy in the life of a true Christian; causing them to wonder if the Word of God is not real or true after alll. Most people in such a condition (upset), are acting out of a guilty conscience. They like to make jokes, and make fun of Christians, but deep inside they know that their heart is not right; so they like to try and ease the guilt in any way possible. God is alive forevermore. And his Holy Spirit is also very much alive in the world. And He has not eased up a bit, in convicting people of sin. Just as we Christians are full of the life of God, the lost people are full of the life of the devil. And the devil very much hates for the name of Jesus to be mentioned. Because he knows what a fool he was in believing that he had the victory, when Jesus was crucified. But when Jesus arose from the grave on the third day, Satan was defeated forevermore. And he has nothing more to look forward to than the fires of Hell. Therefore, he hates Jesus, he hates everything that Jesus has done and is still doing in the hearts and lives of people. And those who are walking around with the evil spirit of the devil within them, cannot stand to hear about Jesus or about anything that He has done. But do not allow this to upset you, if you are a Christian. For God's Word tells us in Rom. 8:31: "If God be for us, who can be against us?" No one! Not even the devil.

some individuals are 0.5 way the international over, why do you assume we are "cursing, and spittin' and clawin' and gnashin' "? It insects some human beings at the same time as christians imagine Jeebus can provide all of them rights to insult different individuals as immoral, evil or satanic, because it is going antagonistic to the bible. It has a tendency to be fundamentalist christians who refuse to consider that they may well be incorrect, and to act with respect in the course of others. edit: "God's be conscious is the fact" Which God, why are you so certain it really is fact, and why do you no longer provide respect to individuals that disagree with you with as a lot conviction? edit: I did seem for him once upon a time, yet i'm an atheist now. Did God reject me? Or is he merely no longer there? it extremely is it?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Do you have extraordinary evidence? If so, produce it. If not, then I say that what you perceive as a "fact" that you "know God" is certainly a delusion, possibly explained by a chemical/hormonal imbalance. The only way that it upsets me is when sane people are superstitious enough to treat people like you seriously. Oh, and of course, it pisses me off even more that there are people who make claims like yours, and put up a good act, but in reality they are just con artists.

If you think I am being "hostile" because I am saying you are either delusional or a liar, that's your problem. I simply refuse to grant your claim even a modicum of respect, because it deserves none.

Because ppl like you insist on calling it "the Truth" (with a capital "t", no less). By this, you imply not so subtly that everything else is a lie.

That's the type of cr*p that upsets others. If you want to live your life in a delusion, go right ahead. But don't impose your personal fairy tale on other people just because they are more intelligent than you

People are suspicious because there are many people who claim to 'know God', but really do not, they have just convinced themselves that they do.

Also, if one person claims to know God, regardless of if they do or not, it can make someone who doesn't feel like they know God feel the ache of their own uncertainty.

And, there are many people who claim to have 'Truth', who are simply idiots who have conditioned themselves to believe in something, and some people are quite aware of that and won't tolerate it.

That doesn't bother me until they insist that I believe the same thing that they do. You don't have the truth, you only think that you do. A lot of people have books...that doesn't mean they have the truth.

For me its because they always seem to knock at the door at a really convenient time. I have nothing agains them personally. But... I know where my local church is. If I wanted to get involed I know where to go.

It's kind of like those 3-D pictures that you used to see in the mall.

All of my friends could see those things, and all I saw were a bunch of squiggly lines.

truth is a fact, its verafiable in all its shapes and forms, the moment we can't analyze it, it is no long fact; but myth, theory, or idea. therefore there is no real "truth" in god. so basically athiests are upset when you say that because your trying to change the meaning of truth which is counterproductive to their existence.
