Seriously, I have been told that several times. But, no one ever seems to know where it is in the Bible.

I am checking the cited references. However, so far, it simply talks about a man and woman being joined. It does not hint, that only a man and a woman can be joined by God. I am not arguing. My Editor, of one of my books, insist that Biblically two people of same sex cannot be married or joined together; ie its against God's rules. What rules. Please don't quote Leviticus; that was corrupted in 1611, as admitted by the research department of the Catholic Church, plus anyone who speaks Hebrew.

Dear "here" - I am still reading the cited verses - It is not an easy task. It seems as if, it was something not to mentioned, yet acknowledged about 3 times in the Bible. (Homosexuality that is) And, except for the above cited corruption of Leviticus; it seemed like no big deal.

Dear "Gary" - I am sorry, but it seems like you are just making up things and using generalities to support your particular theme of what is right and wrong.

Jesus said, "If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you."
Now that is the clearest verse in the Bible.

Dear "skull" - Please help me research this. My editor is super intelligent. I hate to disagree with him, unless I can present a solid case that God (according to the Bible) could spiritually join two people of the same sex.

Dear "kateS" - Good points. What about any verse that simply talks about two people being spiritually bonded by God, (without any particular references to their gender)?

Dear "highway" - rape is rape, disharmony is disharmony regardless of gender or sexual preferences. If Homosexuality was so bad by itself, and practiced in Sodom for hundreds of years, why did Lot, a God fearing man, depart from his uncle Abraham, and take his family to Sodom? (In the first place?)

Dear "bonsai" Your cited verse said not what you said it said according to my Greek Hebrew KJ version of the Bible.
Why would you just make up and insert that Homosexuals were condemned in that verse you cited? (Don't misunderstand me, I was always taught that Homosexuality was a sin against God, And the Catholic Church taught the same thing, But now we both agree that we wrong. Why? Harmony is harmony; disharmony is the only sin against God. Discrimination always leads to disharmony.

Normally I would not even get involved in this topic - I don't know where the Bible verse is but here are my thoughts -
I'm glad that you asked this question and are knowledgeable enough to do the research on the replies you get. I think people determine this to be correct because this is what they have been taught. We need to remember, just because we are taught something doesn't make it right. Some things need to be reasoned out and conclusions drawn on our own. If people are acting out of love, what can be so wrong?
Not that I believe people should be allowed to marry anyone they want, I don't see a need for anyone to be legally married. I think most people want to get married for insurance, property, or other financial matters. There are legal processes for all of these things outside of being married. If a couple want to be together because they love each other, they will be, with or without a legal document. Our government and our businesses have made exceptions for married people that they don't make for single people or unmarried couples. I don't thinks that's fair. Taxes, insurance, etc. are cheaper for married people than for single people or unmarried couples.
I could go on and on. I won't.
Generally, unless people are personally faced with a situation, they will not change their minds.
I wonder if anyone will find this information in the Bible. Good luck in your search for this information.
Oh, and have a great week. I actually have to work Monday but will be on vacation the rest of the week. How is your wall coming along?

After looking at the different bible versus I have read NOTHING that talks against Gay marriage It's only talking about 1 type of marriage but it's not speaking against gay marriage. Why do people twist the meanings of the different versus
Ok, I see you all have versus that will disagree with same sex marriage.
Let me ask this.......Jesus last covenant was John 3:16 God so loved the world he gave his only begotton son that who so ever believith in him shall not parish but have ever lasting life.
If John 3:16 is true then all other versus are no longer needed. If you add anything or take anything away from this verse then you cannot believe in john 3:16.
YOU cannot ADD or SUBTRACT from John 3:16 without calling Jesus a lier. By John 3:16 you can be anything you want and still be saved.

Fair question...thanks for asking. The quantity of evidence is in the narratives of men and women marrying. The didactic passages begin with God's creation of Adam and Eve (Gen 1:26-27). The legal passages begin with the laws of Moses, which make the sin of the practice of homosexuality a capital offense (Lev 20:13). The teaching of Christ reaffirms God's intention from the very beginning (Matt 19:4-6), and the apostles, who live in an empire where homosexuality was rampant continue to uphold the same (Rom 1:24-32; 1 Cor 7:1-2).

Here chek this out:
Genesis 2:24 That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.
1 Timoty. 3:2, 12:
1 Cor. 7: 2-5
1 Cor. 7:10-16:
Prov. 5:15-21;
1 Cor. 6:9-11: “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
(This emphasizes the seriousness of the matter. Unrepentant adulterers will have no part in God’s Kingdom. Yet, people who formerly committed adultery, perhaps even improperly getting remarried, can gain God’s forgiveness and a clean standing with him if they are genuinely repentant and exercise faith in the sin-atoning value of Jesus’ sacrifice.)
For Skullkeepers;
Romans 1:24-32 is talking about what is obscene in the eyes of God.

In the book of Leviticus chapter18:22 verse 22. and also read the whole of chapter 18 and that is when the Lord when laying down the law of sexual relations that is wickedness in the eyes of the Lord. Also remember the story of Soddom and Gomorrah. That town had alot of homosexuality going on in it. The Lord shows this as an example of how much He absolutely HATES homosexuality and detests it. He rained down fire and brimstone and destroyed the whole town except for a few that He allowed to escape.

To first poster, way to cherry-pick quotes. Mark 10 is explicitly talking about divorce in Jesus' time, as is evidenced by, in NIV:
1Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.
2Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"
3"What did Moses command you?" he replied.
4They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away."
5"It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law," Jesus replied. 6"But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'[a] 7'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8and the two will become one flesh.'[c] So they are no longer two, but one. 9Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
10When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. 11He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.
To second poster:
Lust = Sinful longing. To have people burn with sinful longing towards one another is NOT to have people LOVE one another. There is a difference. It's kind of sad you can't realize it.
To SeeTheLight: Even if you assume pro ipse Biblical validity, Ephesians was written by Paul as advice, NOT as dictum.
Re. Corinthians: Homosexuality is the term in KJV because James I was closeted and afraid, and it was a political gambit. You see a lot of that in era of the time. Provide it where it specifically says homosexuality in the original text.
-----
Wayne: The wedding in Cana does not mention both genders, only a bridegroom, and that was Jesus' first miracle. (John 2.) Numerous mentions of weddings at the tail end of Matthew and the middle of Luke, absent genders. I get the feeling those aren't the quotes you're after.
!!!!!!
EDITED TO ADD:
Found it. Matthew 8:5-13 (NT), Books of Samuel (OT).

The very reason God made Eve was for Adam. This is clearly stated in the bible. They were made one for another. And I agree in mathew the word talks of wives. I don't know anywhere in the word were to people of the same gender were biblically connected. The bible does speak of sodomy and that was what happened to sodom and gamorah. Not a good thing. Biblically speaking it was not.

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/ZoJhJ
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.
