All i hear is "why do you not believe in god" or "have fun in hell". Sometimes from the same people. Do you come here to hate? because obviously you got lost and stumbled into a group of people who don't care.
Please, is it hard to believe someone can have a firm foot in morality but still not have FAITH. It's not like some of us would kill a child because we don't believe in jesus, gods, or whoever.

What im' wondering is why are you here to put people down. Are you insecure in your own beliefs that you have to put other people down?

I couldn't agree with you more.

Unlike a lot of people who come to critisize and cast judgement, I come here to learn and give honest, positive responses.

I hope you encounter less and less of those hateful kinds of people on here. They come and go, but the honest people stick around.

Be careful not to overgeneralize about all theists. There are some simple-minded ones who cannot defend their own views with well-thought-out logic, and there are plenty who can. Whether or not someone can give a calm, rational reply to those who disagree with them, this does not make their view correct or incorrect. I get frustrated with fellow Christians who say, "Have fun in Hell" as their response. They're not winning your heart or your mind; they're just being apathetic. If I were that dumb, I'd just keep my mouth shut and research what a good reply would be to the question at hand--even if it took years to do. I'm afraid that the simple-minded you've quoted don't reflect well the logical coherence of theism, and I'm sorry that your feelings have been hurt to the point that you call them haters. Still, there are plenty of loving ignoramuses that wouldn't speak to you that way and plenty of intelligent theists who wouldn't either. Please don't lump all theists into one category, and please accept our apology for their terse response.

You got it with your last two sentences. I really believe that people who belittle others' beliefs are either insecure in their own beliefs or very jealous or even both. Also, fear and ignorance could play a part in it. People fear what they don't know and it's easier to hate than to be enlightened.

I believe everyone has to find their place in life only you can do your own personal walk. It's your life and only you can do it. I would never put anyone down for their belief we have freedom of religion in America not what everyone wants us to believe

I don't really put people down unless they asked for a reality check. I'm not here specifically to give people the finger, I'm here to share knowledge and help to educate people. I'm also here to widen peoples' horizons. Granted, it gets violent sometimes with your trolls and stuff... Other than that, though, it's an honest place for me.

Hooray for you. I get tired of reading the venom, too. If that's the attitude you need to have to be religious, I'd rather not be, and stay a relatively decent person.

But you missed one comment I see a lot. "Why are there so many atheists here?

As if atheists, deists, buddhists, hindus, muslims, wiccans, etc. are not allowed on this site, and any one who's not a fundie is an "atheist" or maybe the "antichrist".

God made rainbows to represent happiness. Why aren't you happy the way God made you?
