Yes and you wouldn't want to meet one. They are nothing like Touch by an Angel would suggest. They do the work of God and protect Heaven and yes once in awhile God sends an angel to assist a human being but if you read in the old testament and other Jewish books (book of Enoch) they are far from the tame of what we consider Angels today. Angels were sent to kill the first born in the old testament. They were sent to kill people on earth. They were sent to pass judgment on mankind, and they even turned cities into salt. These type angels you would never want to meet. Always doing God will but have one wing dipped in the blood of humans another other angels over the battle of heaven. King Solomon has the ability to conjure Angels to do his bidding. According some Hebrew writings he was given a ring by God that could control Angels. King Solomon also believed that Angels were able to predict the future was they were messengers of God. He also believed that they had certain healing powers. King Solomon believed that Demons had similar powers and the ability to see into the future as well. That Lucifer had an all seeing eye in Hell that could see past, present and future. As for job there is angel for every realm of heaven that protects it from fallen angels or demons. Some sing. Some we have no clue what their function is the bible is Rather vague except to say they worship God day and night. Guardian Angels is a modern thought and there is no way to know for sure if the Hebrews saw angels in this light. For the most part Hebrews were scared of angels due the things I described that was ordered by God for them to do. Angels are also referred as "Sons of Heaven and Sons of God" in the Hebrew tongue as well cause God created them and they were his first loved creation over all till God made beings in his own image and called them humans and the angels got pushed aside as God's favorite. There is a lot more to understand about Angels but I suggest the Book of Enoch as the beginning of your journey to understand what Angels are. Have fun and don't conjure any. They don't like to be bothered by human beings unless God sends one. Oh yea and they don't have free will like humans beings. They were never born so they do not have a soul like human beings. They are created to solely worship and serve God night and day. If they disobey God they are tossed out of heaven. Angels cannot receive salvation. Anyways have fun reading!

These days, many people are thinking about angels. It can be somewhat difficult to figure out what the Bible says about them if one is not very familiar with it. For that reason, the following articles were written, & put online:

Yes, God created the myriads of angels in heaven. He created them as messengers. Revelation 22:6, "An he said to me: "these words are faithful and true yes, Jehovah the god of the inspired expressions of the prophets sent his angel forth to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place, and, look! I am coming quickly. Happy is anyone observing the words of the prophecy of this scroll."

Yes, angels are created beings. They are servants of the most High God. In the bible, there are only three angels named. Michael is the warrior angel; Gabriel is the messenger angel. Lucifer was an angel, but fell from heaven (and took with him a third of the angels); he is now known as satan and the others are his demons.

Ultimately everything God made was for His glory. The angels that chose not to fulfill this calling but to follow the rebellious angel Lucifer were cast out of Heaven and continue to attempt to thwart God's plan. The angels that held tightly to God and refused to follow Satan are God's instruments to speak and protect.

They are ministering spirits, God created them and uses them in many ways. When Satan was cast out of heaven for his rebellion, a third of the angel that followed Satan, make up Satan's work force.

God created everything, including Angels. They protect the throne of God, worship and praise God in Heaven, battle the demons (spiritual warfare in Heaven and earth), are God's messengers, protect us as God directs them and I believe they escort us to heaven or hell.

Yes; they do whatever He tells them to do. Angels appear as messengers and warriors in the Bible, but I'm not going to say that they're limited to that.

May God bless you.
