do you think he existed at all or did the things they said he did. I think that Jesus was a real man and that he was well above average than most others, kind of like Einstein. I do think that he figured out ways to solve common problem and used it to his advantage, people saw this, and since there was no science they thought it must be godly to know so much. Then 10 years down the grape vine hes the son of god that walks on water. What do you think?

I must preface my remarks by admitting that I am an agnostic which seems, even to me, to be a position of fence-sitting; still, I honestly do not know whether or not god exists, and I do not know either how anyone can be certain, although I do tend to lean toward atheism. That said, I imagine that there must have been a person who inspired the Christian religion since he is such a "larger-than-life" character in the western world's theist history. Still, Christianity's inception post-dates the period in which that person actually existed so that the legends attributed to him (the New Testament) most probably were exaggerated and are, thus, necessarily subject to scientific examination, nor can they naively be accepted as "gospel". Similar to any oral history which would naturally pre-date the written "testament", the feats and nature of "Jesus" would be exaggerated and embellished over the time period preceding the written "word". I seriously doubt that his alleged activities, which would be regarded currently as impossible, would nevertheless have been easily accomplished by Jesus in biblical times. I maintain that, until or unless the so-called "second coming" actually manifests, we must maintain a skeptical attitude in regard to Christ and Christianity's claim for him as the son of god and performer of miracles, including the miraculous feat of resurrection...

I agree with you that the story of Jesus is probably not entirely accurate, and I very much doubt that he performed ALL the miracles that were attributed to him. But since none of us were there, none of us will ever know. In the four gospels, there's only one miracle that's written in each of them. . .the loaves and fishes thing.
But I do believe that Christ was a highly advanced spiritual person, whose example we can all learn a great deal from. I also believe that there are now, and have always been people on Christ's level right here on earth. It's just that some are destined for fame and glory, while others have slightly different work to perform.
As far as him being the savior of all mankind for all past, present, and future. . .I tend to think not. But still I have to respect those who feel differently, even if they may not respect my opinion.

I think he existed, and did everything they say he did. He was crucified for his beliefs. He was a minority in his time, teaching love, hope, change, and faith.
As we all know bringing about change, people are often crucified, so to speak. It still happens now.
I was brought up Catholic. But since I am of no particular religion, I take everything in and have my own personal relationship with God, and Jesus I don't need to go to a building to speak with him. He is in my heart and soul. I have baptized my children on my own. I teach them the basics of my beliefs, to be good decent people with no prejudice, hatred, equality, they are better than no one and no one is better then them...wouldn't it be a perfect world if everyone could just get along...He Will come and show us.

To me Jesus seems like a guy that was helping people, healing people, spreading love and telling people about God. I'm not really sure I think maybe a prophet or ordinary man who was above average. I don't really believe he was the son of God or is God.
I wonder sometimes if he did things like heal people with medicines that people didn't know about and people thought wow that's amazing and started thinking it was magic. I've been learning a bit about energy healing maybe he used energy healing to heal people. I guess I really dunno but to me I think he was a very wise man and very nice caring person. I guess Jesus is different to each person.

Jesus was the popular fiction of the time transformed into one compilation and called a religion after a while, which is what L Ron Hubbard was trying to do not too long ago, but with less success..

Jesus of Nazareth is a story to me. For the time he was alleged to exist, there were supposed to be very good records kept (Romans kept very exacting records, even their laundry lists). However, there are no contemporaneous records of his existence. So there is some doubt that he really existed at all.

I believe that Jesus was a real man who was filled with the spirit of Christ. He was a Gnostic teacher and spiritual guide. I do not believe that Jesus was the promised messiah of Judaism. I do not believe that Jesus was God.
